Whether you’re a first-time donor or a veteran, our experienced phlebotomists are there to walk you through every step. First, they’ll ask some questions to make sure you’re eligible to donate; then we’ll set you up in a comfy chair. Yes, it’s that’s simple.
Timing varies depending on the type of donation, but most first-time donors do a whole blood donation, which typically takes 8–10 minutes once in the donor chair.
CHECK ELIGIBILITYAPPOINTMENTS ARE EASY (AND PREFERRED)
For the best blood donation experience, we recommend making an appointment before showing up to a blood drive or donor center. This allows us to provide you with the best care and keep everything running smoothly. With an appointment, you can usually expect to begin the donation process within 15 minutes. However, wait times may extend during a surge, so we appreciate your patience. We’ll gladly accept walk-ins as well.

WE GIVE WHEN YOU GIVE
Our Patient Assistance Program helps to offset the cost of a blood transfusion, should a qualified loyal donor or a family member need one in the future. For each unit of blood that is donated at a blood drive or center on the recipient’s behalf and transfused, TBC provides a $25 credit.
